How to clean install FilterPixel?

What is a Clean Install?

A clean install removes all locally stored FilterPixel settings, cache, and configuration files before reinstalling the app. This can resolve persistent issues such as crashes, syncing errors, or corrupted preferences that a standard reinstall does not fix.

Note: A clean install will remove all previous projects from the app only, not from the storage location where your files are saved.

Windows

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type %AppData% and press Enter. This opens the Roaming folder inside AppData.
  3. Locate the FilterPixel folder.
  4. Delete the FilterPixel folder.

Mac

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Press Cmd + Shift + G to open the "Go to Folder" dialog.
  3. Type ~/Library/Application Support/FilterPixel and press Enter. (Type ~ using Shift plus the key to the left of the 1 key.)
  4. Delete the FilterPixel folder.

Reinstalling FilterPixel

After deleting the folder, go to https://accounts.filterpixel.com to download the latest version of FilterPixel, then install and run it.
