How to clean install FilterPixel?
What is a Clean Install?
A clean install removes all locally stored FilterPixel settings, cache, and configuration files before reinstalling the app. This can resolve persistent issues such as crashes, syncing errors, or corrupted preferences that a standard reinstall does not fix.
Windows
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type %AppData% and press Enter. This opens the Roaming folder inside AppData.
- Locate the FilterPixel folder.
- Delete the FilterPixel folder.
Mac
- Open Finder.
- Press Cmd + Shift + G to open the "Go to Folder" dialog.
- Type ~/Library/Application Support/FilterPixel and press Enter. (Type ~ using Shift plus the key to the left of the 1 key.)
- Delete the FilterPixel folder.
Reinstalling FilterPixel
After deleting the folder, go to https://accounts.filterpixel.com to download the latest version of FilterPixel, then install and run it.
