# How to Update the File Path for Adobe Apps (Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop)?

# How to Update the File Path for Adobe Apps (Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop)
If you’ve moved or reinstalled Lightroom (CC or Classic) or Photoshop, you’ll need to update the file path in your profile settings. This ensures the apps are correctly linked for exporting and editing.

## For Mac Users
1. Click on your **initials** (profile icon) in the top-right corner of the app.

2. Scroll down until you see **Lightroom CC**, **Lightroom Classic (LrC)**, or **Photoshop**, each with an **Update** button next to it. Click **Update** for the app you want to relink.

3. A new window will appear asking you to select the application.
4. On the right side of the panel, open the **Applications** folder.
5. Locate the app (e.g., **Lightroom CC.app**, **Lightroom Classic.app**, or **Adobe Photoshop.app**).
6. Click the **main app icon** and select it.
7. Your app path is now updated, and you’ll be able to use it for exports and edits.

## For Windows Users
1. Click on your **initials** (profile icon) in the top-right corner of the app.

2. Scroll down until you see **Lightroom CC**, **Lightroom Classic (LrC)**, or **Photoshop**, each with an **Update** button next to it. Click **Update** for the app you want to relink.

3. A new window will appear asking you to select the application.
4. On the right side of the panel, navigate to the folder where the app is installed. By default, this is usually:
    * **C:\Program Files\Adobe**
    * Or the custom folder you selected during installation
5. Find the correct app folder. Open it and select the **.exe file** (e.g., `Lightroom.exe`, `LightroomClassic.exe`, or `Photoshop.exe`).
6. Your app path is now updated, and you’ll be able to use it for exports and edits.

Repeat the process for each app (Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop) if needed.
